Friends,
I’m pleased to share that my second single from my upcoming album is called “Grieving Angel”, and it’s out NOW
When I’ve played this song live over the past couple of years, I’ve introduced it by saying “The longer that I’m married, the more that I think about dying.” Tongue-in-cheek as it might be, I mean it in all seriousness. It’s one of the hardest things to think through - that after a good few decades of marriage, one of us will pass on and leave the other behind. This song plays with the idea that after I’m dead and gone - I’d do everything I can to still be with my wife in spirit.
The song is also loosely Based off of Simberg’s “The Garden of Death” - I wanted to take the idea of death and put it on its head. Maybe, just maybe, this earthly death is a renewal, a rebirth into something beautiful.
Thank you as always for your support. Enjoy!
